Grant Procedures
Any charitable organization may request a grant by completing and submitting a charitable grant application to the Directors of The Virginia Hodgkins Somers Foundation, Inc. (the "Foundation").
Each application must identify the organization requesting a grant (the "Applicant") and the project to be funded by grant funds, and set forth the charitable purposes of the project. Each Applicant must attach to the application a copy of the its most recent letter of determination of tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service, and copies of its annual financial statements for the prior three years and its information return for the prior year, or if the Applicant has not been in existence for three years, any annual informational returns or financial statements for all years of existence. In addition, Each Applicant must attach to the application a budget for the project to be financed by grant funds, a Board resolution approving the filing of the application, and a current list of the members of the Board of Directors. Only complete applications will be considered.
